![]() These are Green Lanterns heroes who have a weapon that is literally given due to a person's courage and fearlessness, yet we have these heroes who sometimes lack courage or sometimes fear they aren't enough. YES! Absolutely! Everything you've said is so perfect as to why these characters are not just important but also unique and refreshing. It makes them awesome and inspiring to more anxious people like myself. I love them even more when they fight those pressures, fears, and anxieties and be better heroes because of it. Not everyone is fearless and that's something an audience can identify with. I love it when characters actually show that they can fold and even break when put under massive pressure. do you guys know what we're being tasked to do here? Are you all insane?" and eventually has a breakdown. ![]() ![]() Because out of all the anime, spikey haired teenage "LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE TEAM! MYTHOLOGICAL GODS? WE GOT THIS!" protagonists the series have had up to that point, and eventually beyond, he's the only one that took a step back and viewed his situation like "What the hell. Traits like that are why I like Squall as my favorite final fantasy protagonist. It gives weight to the idea of being an actual superhero and handling such massive responsibility. I've always been drawn to these types of characters who kind of realize that having the world literally placed on your shoulders is scary. I like Simon's unapologetic confidence but I also like Jessica's anxiety as a character trait. Lol good thing I'm not alone! But I guess I fall into the minority's minority because I favour Simon over Jessica :P
